Effective pre-planning and robust collaborative arrangements between partner organisations with responsibility for the health and wellbeing of prisoners/detainees need to be in place to manage outbreaks of communicable diseases, water contamination incidents (HSG [93] 56) or other events that pose a risk to health of staff, prisoners/detainees and others entering the prison/place of detention The document describes both specific actions required to identify and manage an incident or outbreak, as well as describing the roles and responsibilities of partner organisations involved Last updated 24 January 2017
