HPA HIV/Sexually Transmitted Infections (STIs)

This report presents data on recent trends and epidemiology of sexually transmitted infections (STIs) in England. It was compiled using data from genitourinary medicine (GUM) clinics collected in the GUM Clinic Activity Dataset (GUMCAD) and from other community-based settings screening for chlamydia including the National Chlamydia Screening Programme (NCSP). For more detail on genital chlamydia in young adults please see the accompanying HPR article. Data on trends in STI diagnoses in the United Kingdom will be published later in the year.
