Abstract:
Effective pre-planning and robust collaborative arrangements between partner organisations with responsibility for the health and wellbeing of prisoners/detainees need to be in place to manage outbreaks of communicable diseases, water contamination incidents (HSG [93] 56) or other events that pose a risk to health of staff, prisoners/detainees and others entering the prison/place of detention The document describes both specific actions required to identify and manage an incident or outbreak, as well as describing the roles and responsibilities of partner organisations involved
