National Seasonal Influenza Vaccination Survey in Europe, 2007

Abstract: 
The specific aims of the study were to describe seasonal influenza vaccination policies and immunisation programmes in EU/EEA member states, identifying specific recommendations for different risk groups in each country, and to obtain most recent vaccination coverage data in the EU/EEA member states for 2006/2007 seasonal influenza season in order to compare data between countries. The collected data show a high degree of variability across the European countries. This survey was first survey to cover all EU and two EEA countries regarding seasonal influenza vaccine and describe influenza vaccine programmes more precisely.
