NHS National Decontamination Training Programme

The National Decontamination Training Programme is an online learning programme that has been developed for all staff who are directly involved in the decontamination of reusable surgical instruments and for those whose role requires an appreciation of decontamination principles. The programme contains 25 hours of online training and consists of two courses: - 1. Decontamination Practice - aimed at staff directly involved in the decontamination of surgical instruments 2. Decontamination Principles - aimed at staff who require an appreciation of the decontamination lifecycle The training can easily be recorded, monitored and progress of learners can be measured using automated learning management system making it suitable for compliance reporting purposes.
