Pontiac fever outbreak associated with a spa-pool, United Kingdom, April 2008

On 16 April 2008, public health authorities in North West England were notified of six suspected cases of non-pulmonary legionellosis This point source outbreak involved three confirmed and four probable cases of Pontiac fever linked to the use of an inadequately maintained spa pool.
