The Revised Healthcare Cleaning Manual is designed to be used across different healthcare settings, including acute care, mental health care, primary care and the ambulance service. Published in June 2009 it offers the most up-to-date, current guidance on healthcare cleaning. The Revised Healthcare Cleaning Manual replaces the guidance contained in the NHS Cleaning Manual.The guidance has been brought up to date to reflect the diversity of care settings. There is a new, improved collection of cleaning method statements as well as new advice on the use of emerging cleaning technologies.
