Abstract:
The European Food Safety Authority and the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control analysed the information submitted by 27 European Union Member States on the occurrence of zoonoses and food-borne outbreaks. EFSA is responsible for examining the data on zoonoses, antimicrobial resistance and food-borne outbreaks submitted by Member States in accordance with Directive 2003/99/EC6 and for preparing the EU Summary Report from the results. Data from 2011 in this EU Summary Report were produced in collaboration with ECDC which provided the information on and analyses of zoonoses cases in humans in 2011
