Abstract: 
An evaluation report on the Sage two percent chlorhexidine gluconate cloth is now available to assist NHS Trusts to make informed decisions in order to reduce healthcare associated infections (HCAI). The evaluation was conducted in seven showcase hospitals across England who were part of the HCAI Technology Innovation programme. The Royal Wolverhampton Hospitals NHS Trust, Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust, Calderdale and Huddersfield NHS Foundation Trust, County Durham and Darlington NHS Foundation Trust, The Lewisham Hospital NHS Trust, Mid-Essex Hospitals NHS Trust and Hull and East Yorkshire Hospitals NHS Trust all participated in the evaluation. The report, Showcase Hospitals report number nine: Sage two per cent chlorhexidine gluconate cloth, publishes the efficacy and economic features of the product and also includes a business case template for use by any trust considering using this product.
