WHO: Tools for training and education

All health-care workers require clear and comprehensive training and education on the importance of hand hygiene, the 'My 5 Moments for Hand Hygiene' approach and the correct procedures for handrubbing and handwashing In the ideal situation, health-care facilities will provide regular training (at least annually) to all health-care workers, including new starters and previously-trained staff. Please refer to the Guide to Implementation of the WHO Multimodal Hand Hygiene Improvement Strategy (listed) for detailed guidance on how to use the tools and to understand the basic components of health-care worker training.
